HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Eight years working together and actors Daniel Dae Kim and Terry O'Quinn still can't seem to get off an island!
After six season's on the TV show, "Lost" also shot in Hawaii Jin is now Chin and john is now Joe.
The two actors have reunited on Hawaii Five-0 this time, playing detective Chin Ho Kelly and Lieutenant Commander, Joe White.
"Right back there, I remember paddling in season 6, that big eight-man canoe with nothing but a headwind and a scowl," says Terry O'Quinn.
The old show launched bigger careers for them and experience helps on "Five-0" ... where they work with many old crewmembers.
Terry: "Yeah, you get more relaxed." Daniel: "I like to call people like Terry the savvy veterans. Guys who've been there and done that and kind of understand where we are in the larger context of things." Terry: "In front of them, that's what he likes to call 'em. " Daniel: "That's right!"
After lost, Kim stayed in the islands. O'Quinn lives in L.A. but he still keeps both a house on North Shore and that island attitude.
Daniel: "I also remember one year when we were at an awards show, and you could tell how much Hawaii had gotten into Terry's spirits because he was wearing a tuxedo with slippers and I thought, "That's Hawaii right there!" Terry: "Yeah, but they had rhinestones on 'em!" Daniel: "So, they were special!" Terry: "They were my dress up slippers!"
After being lost in the islands for years, they've now found a new scene together on Hawaii Five-0.
